updating

We've gotten a lot of positive feedback on the idea, but also a lot of apprehension regarding this project's stance—halfway on the edge towards graffiti, I suppose. But the poetry is meant to be done anonymously, and not huge and cluttering to the city. Perhaps displayed in the small corner of the sidewalk, or on the back of an old, forgotten stop sign. The poems are meant to be shown on this blog, but also left as a pleasant surprise for a passerby who may be in need of a little hope and beauty to brighten her day. :)

just an update

I've been working extremely hard in my attempts to spread the word about this blog, so hopefully in a few days there will be enough sent-in pictures for me to make the first official post! Please, if you believe in this idea, and in poetry itself, spread the word to the blogging world!

Tell them to send their pictures! :)

a welcome message, an explanation, and a dream

Welcome to project poetry. The dream of this blog is to create an outlet of inspiration for all poets, artists, authors, as well as any ordinary person who happens to stumble upon this small corner of the internet. This is the first post, the statement, the idea. That is all Project Poetry is right now: a dream to infuse words of passion into a world so desperately in need of life. This is a way to change the world, just a little at a time. So, join with me, and bring the beauty of the written word into the open.
